Help to Tell Missoula’s Stories
The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula hosts four indoor galleries and several exhibits in the historic buildings located throughout the 32 acre park. Exhibits change throughout the year, highlighting different aspects of Missoula County’s History.
With over 50,000 artifacts in the collection, creating exhibits is a integral part of sharing our local history. Your gift will support our goal to make our collection more accessible to the public and bring history to life through visual storytelling and exhibits!
Businesses and individuals can also sponsor our upcoming exhibits! Sponsors will be recognized through signage in the exhibit, promotional materials for the exhibit, throughout the museums social media channels and newsletters, and much more. If you have questions about sponsorships, please contact Carrie Nowlen at 406-258-3479 or cnowlen@missoulacounty.us.
Upcoming Exhibits:
Undressing History (October 21, 2022 to May 7, 2023)
***Sponsorships are needed to help purchase mannequins and other display supplies for this fabulous exhibit that will share the stories that our clothes tell. Inspired by a recent collections internship project, this exhibit celebrates the stories that our clothes tell. Garments pulled from the museum’s large collection of textiles will serve as the fashionable backdrop to share the stories of the people, places, and events that they came from. Visitors will be able to put themselves into the shoes of those who came before us as well as marvel at the beauty of some of these amazing pieces of historical costume.
