The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula is so thankful to everyone who supported our Preserving Pieces of Our Past campaign! These funds, plus additional grants and funding have allowed the museum to begin a major overhaul of our collection storage spaces. With new construction and renovations of spaces beginning this year, our collections department has determined that a moratorium on accepting new items to the collection is necessary. So, from January 2023 through December 2024, the museum will not be accepting donations of items for our collection.
Beginning in 2025, the museum will once again begin accepting artifacts related to keeping Missoula County’s history alive!
